Privacy Policy

The short version (plain English)

• We count anonymous page views. That's it — no tracking cookies, no advertising profile, no cross-site data sharing.
• If you give us your email, we store it so we can send you the newsletter. We never share it with anyone.
• If you send us a message via the contact form, we store the message so we can reply.
• You can unsubscribe from email, request deletion of your data, or remove yourself from our contact records at any time.

What we collect

Automatic, on every page view

Our web server logs a small record for each visit: the page you looked at, the time, the referring page, your IP address, your browser and operating system, and the language your browser prefers. This is standard server logging. We use it only to count visitors, diagnose errors, and detect abuse.

We do not use cookies, local storage, browser fingerprinting, or any third-party analytics provider (no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no Mixpanel, nothing). Server logs are retained for 90 days and then automatically deleted.

If you subscribe to the newsletter

We store your email address and optional name. We store the time you subscribed, the IP address you subscribed from (for anti-abuse), and whether you confirmed via the double opt-in email we send you. If you unsubscribe, your record is marked inactive but not deleted so we can prevent accidentally re-subscribing you. You can request complete deletion at any time by emailing us.

If you send us a message via the contact form

We store your name, email, optional company, and the message you sent. We use this only to reply to you and to detect spam patterns.

If you click an affiliate link

Affiliate merchants (Amazon, EcoFlow, Bay Alarm Medical, etc.) may set their own cookies once you arrive on their site. We have no control over what those sites do — see their privacy policies. We don't see who clicks — just the aggregate commission reports the merchants send us.

What we don't collect

• We don't use tracking cookies, pixels, or browser fingerprinting.
• We don't use third-party analytics providers.
• We don't embed social widgets that track you across the web.
• We don't share your email or contact data with any third party for any purpose.
• We don't sell data. There's no one to sell it to.

Your rights

Regardless of where you live, you have the right to:

• See the data we have about you. Email us and we'll send you a copy within 30 days.
• Correct any of it that's wrong.
• Delete all of it. For newsletter, click any unsubscribe link; for full deletion including historical records, email us.
• Object to any processing of your data, including sending you email.
• Opt out of any future data use.

If you're in California, these rights are protected under the CCPA. If you're in the EU/UK, they're protected under the GDPR. We respect them for everyone, everywhere.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
